The nation will pause today to remember the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion during World War II.
In Missouri, a new exhibit featuring 63 paintings arranged in chronological order is opening at the National Churchill Museum in Fulton.
The artwork comes from the National Museum of the United States Navy.
Some of the paintings were done by men who landed on the beaches of Normandy. Because of censorship during the war, many of the paintings were not put into the Navy’s collection until years later.
The exhibit will be open through July 20th.
