LOUISIANA, Mo. — This past Thursday, Louisiana High School hosted the annual Elementary Ag Day. It has been a tradition for the Louisiana FFA chapter to inform grades 3-5 all about agriculture.
The half-day of learning is filled with many activities to inspire what could be the future generations of agriculture. The kids had an adventure with activities ranging from a greenhouse tour to a petting zoo. They had the opportunity to explore a tractor exhibit where they learned all about the different parts of a tractor.
Another station was with a conservation agent and learned all about gun safety. A few more of the stops including where they learned about the parts of a plant, had the chance to plant their own flower to take back to the classroom, and a petting zoo featuring a horse and a lamb. One of the favorite activities of the day is when they also got to practice shooting a fake deer with a Nerf gun. Overall, it was a fun filled day where the Louisiana FFA chapter could help spread the message all about agriculture.
