KJFM SPORTS – The Louisiana Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Bowling Green on Thursday. The Bobcats took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.
The Bulldogs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Bowling Green, giving up nine runs.
Bowling Green got things started in the first inning when Rowan Milosovich grounded out, scoring one run.
A single by Brady Sheppard in the first inning was a positive for Bulldogs.
Alex Miller led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Bowling Green. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Syler Feldewerth was on the mound for Bulldogs. Feldewerth surrendered four runs on four hits over six innings, striking out four. Brady Fisher threw one inning in relief.
Sheppard went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bulldogs in hits.
Bowling Green scattered eight hits in the game. Zach Gibson, Lucas Jennings, and Milosovich all had multiple hits for Bowling Green. Gibson led Bowling Green with three hits in four at bats. Bowling Green was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jennings made the most plays with 13.
