
BOWLING GREEN, Mo.– The second round of the boys bracket begins, as the seven seeded Bowling Green Bobcats are one win away from a championship berth. Standing in their way, the six seeded Winfield Warriors.
The Bobcats upset the two seeded Clopton Hawks in the first round of the Bowling Green Tournament, 47-42, to advance to the second round on the winners side of the bracket. Winfield upset the three seeded North Callaway Thunderbirds, 58-51. Bowling Green played extremely well against Clopton towards the end of the game to secure the win over the Hawks.
Bowling Green heads into the game with a 6-7 record on the season. The Bobcats average around 53 points per on the offensive side of the ball, while they allow 56 points to their opponents. Winfield is coming into the contest with a 6-11 record, they average around 51 points per game, while they give up 53 points flat to the opposition. The Warriors have won the last four matchups between these two teams, two of which have come in the Bowling Green tournament. The last time that the Bobcats defeated the Warriors was in the 2018 Missouri Class Three District Seven tournament.
