LOUISIANA, Mo. — Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kiffany Ardeneaux releases contestants in the annual Great Mississippi River Duck Race during Louisiana Country Colorfest on Oct. 3. Debbie Sullivan of Eolia took home the $1,000 prize with her blue duck “Quacker.” Other interesting duck names included “Light Switch,” “Toast Bug,” “Fist,” “Toe Jam,” “No Face,” “Dolanator,” “Floater,” “Dork” and “Did I Win?” (No, you didn’t.)  The chamber will use proceeds from ticket sales for local charity work. Other activities during the two-day festival included a parade, crafts and contests.
