
BOWLING GREEN, Mo.–The Bowling Green Lady Cats and Bobcats faced off against the Silex Lady Owls and Owls in an EMO Conference matchup.
The Lady Cats headed into the contest with a 7-10 record, they came out with an 8-10 record, after they defeated the Lady Owls, 49-38. The win for Bowling Green snapped a three-game losing streak against Silex, with their last win being in Silex back in 2020. The Lady Cats have now beaten the Lady Owls in basketball and softball. The loss gave the Lady Owls their second consecutive loss, as they fell in the championship game of the 98th Annual Bowling Green tournament. Silex now sits at 11-8 on the season.
The Bobcats got themselves a blowout win over the Owls, 67-36. Bowling Green acquired a huge lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The win gave the Bobcats their second straight victory, as they had defeated the Van-Far Indians to claim third place in the Bowling Green tournament. Silex drops their 15th straight game, despite starting the season 2-0 and showing some promise, the Owls have struggled throughout the season. The Bobcats extended their winning streak against the Owls to 17 straight with the win, making the record between these two teams 19-2, in favor of Bowling Green.
