
PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — After a bit of a delay the unofficial results of the April 6 election has been posted and Proposition P, the sales tax increase of one half of one percent in general revenue to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, was defeated 775-745.
In other contested races, Clay Lockard and Bobby Evans will take their seats on the Clopton School Board after defeating Bob Danuser and Michele ‘Mickie’ Henderson. Robert Howland beat Sue Lindemann in the North Ward in Clarksville. In Louisiana, Mike Sherman unseated Nick Fregeau in Ward III and in Ward IV Robert Ringhausen will stay put after defeating Delores Lynn Patrick. The Pike County 911 Western District board members will be Richard (Al) Murry and Clarence Henke after defeating Thomas DuBach.
Proposition One for the City of Louisiana also went down in defeat. The proposal was seeking an increase on the current rate of $.07330 on $100 valuation to $.80 on $100 valuation and further increase in 2022 to $.90 then by 2025 $1.00.
