Missouri Department of Conservation Evening with Wildlife

The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting everyone to an “Evening with Wildlife” in Monroe City on Thursday, March 31.

This event will be held at the Monroe City Middle School Gym from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event is FREE and open to all ages.

The event itself is a way of educating the public on conservation issues in the community and throughout the state.

Department personnel will be on hand and will utilize exhibits to discuss wildlife and conservation related topics and answer any question you may have.

There will also be other organizations that promote Missouri’s natural resources and answer additional questions. These exhibits include MDC Hatchery Biologist, MDC Fisheries Biologist, Foresters, US Army Corps of Engineers, MO State Parks, Highway Patrol Marine Division, Taxidermist, Quails Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Live Snakes, Beekeepers, Pollinators, Laser Shooting Range, etc.

There will also be a featured presentation over “Bears in Missouri” by MDC Resource Scientist beginning at 7:00 p.m. and a demonstration from our K9 Penny and her handler Corporal Don Clever following the presentation.

The event is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation in cooperation with Monroe City School District.  If you have any questions, please contact Conservation Agent Jessica Filla at (660) 651-0218.
