The Pike County Senior Citizens Center at 220 West Adams Street in Pittsfield is offering to be a cooling center for anyone in the area needing to escape the heat for a few hours. The center will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. August 27th, 28th and 29th. Please feel free to go in and read a book, put together a puzzle or play cards.
