Louisiana Community Betterment is sponsoring a 500 Piece Puzzle Challenge on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the Louisiana High School Gymnasium. The High School is located at 3321 Georgia St. in Louisiana, MO. “This will be a fun night for everyone,” stated Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson. Cost is $40 per team. A team constitutes 1 to 4 people.
The competition will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and end exactly at 8:00 p.m. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. This will allow ample time to pick out the table that you would like to construct your puzzle on and purchase any food or drink that you would like to have on hand while you are working on your puzzle. PLEASE NOTE: NO FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN TO THE HIGH SCHOOL.
Each team will be given the same puzzle to work and may keep their puzzle at the end of the evening to take home. You may bring a puzzle mat with you if you would like to construct your puzzle on it, for transportation purposes, following the close of the competition.
Each team will be required to work quietly in respect for the other competitors and there will be no one allowed to walk around the room to look at other competitors puzzles until AFTER the competition has closed.
Anyone talking loudly, or causing a distraction will be asked to leave the room. No phone calls will be allowed to be taken in the room where the competition is taking place. Please turn your ringers off. If you must be on the phone, you must leave the room.
Prizes: Prizes of $100, $80 & $60 will be awarded to 1st. 2nd. and 3rd. Place winners. IF a team totally completes the puzzle within the 2 hour time limit, they will be determined the 1st place winner. If no one team completes the puzzle within the 2 hour time limit, prizes will be awarded according to how few puzzle pieces are remaining, on any one teams puzzle. Judges have the final determination.
Payment can be made via VENMO LINK: please go to Venmo and look for Diana Huckstep @betterlamo. Registration and payment deadline is Friday, March 13th. This will give LCBA ample time to order the number of puzzles for the competition.
