Topics for the month are the 1928 opening of the first Champ Clark Bridge, the 1931 Clark Theatre bombing in Louisiana, the story of an Ashley family that led one of the first cattle drives from Missouri to California in 1850, the death of a Pike County man who was Missouri’s last Confederate soldier and the 1894 groundbreaking for the courthouse in Pike County, Ill. “History Lives” is sponsored by the Louisiana Area Historical Museum and KJFM.
