
CLARKSVILLE, Mo — Members of the Clarksville Garden Club recently re-installed the Purple Martin houses on the riverfront in Clarksville. Purple Martins will return to their nesting spots each year as long as their living quarters are still there. Each year, Joe and Linda Pridgeon, members of the Clarksville Garden Club, ensure that the Purple Martin houses are put up in a timely fashion welcome home the Purple Martins. Joe and Linda also give of their time to monitor the Purple Martin houses during the year, and then remove them at the end of the season, so that they can be cleaned and readied for the next year. Clarksville Garden Club is pleased to manage the Purple Martin houses for the Clarksville community and others enjoyment. The Clarksville Garden Club is a member of the Missouri Federated Garden Club. If you are interested in gardening, the Club offers an array of informational programs at each meeting.
