Mel Motley was one of 11 Bowling Green Lions Club members who joined NECAC staff and other volunteers to collect contributions at the Bowling Green Hardee’s for the Heat Up St. Louis Hardee’s Rise & Shine event Feb. 14. Customers could buy $1 egg or sausage biscuits or donate in specially-marked collection cans. The fund-raiser is in its 25th year. All proceeds will stay in Pike County to help disadvantaged people with utility bills. A final total on the amount collected will be available soon.
