LOUISIANA, Mo — Mona Brown, left, Past Exalted Ruler of Louisiana Elks Lodge 791, presents a $5,000 check to NECAC Pike County Service Coordinator Penny Dixon for the Angel Tree Christmas Gift Program. Angel Tree is an effort of NECAC, Bowling Green Walmart and the Salvation Army. Shoppers at Walmart can select tags off a Christmas tree and buy items listed for Pike County needy children. Dozens of families will benefit. NECAC will make sure the gifts get to participants. The Elks have contributed more than $120,000 locally this year. The Lodge receives funds annually to re-grant in Pike County, Mo., from the George W. Trimble Trust Fund established in 1929.
