Social Security Disability Information Session

There will be an information session at the Louisiana Public Library May 21 from 2pm-3pm. They will have mutliple topics they will cover to help people understand government benefits. The rules for getting Social Security Disability are complex. They will provide free information on how the rules apply to people aged 18 to 67. They will discuss how age, education and work history all impact an application and what sort of medical evidence is required to prove a case. They will also talk about how credits with Social Security are earned and how many a person must have to apply for Disability. They will also have information on  Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and how one is eligible for those benefits.
