BOWLING GREEN, Mo. – Bowling Green Middle School is hosting a swap shop and we need your help! Swap Shop gives students an opportunity to shop for themselves and their families this holiday season!
Years ago, the Bowling Green Middle School took on a new challenge. Students donated clean, gently used clothing that they no longer needed or wanted as well as other miscellaneous items. A “shop” was then set up in the high school auditorium and students were able to come and choose items they would like for themselves. Everything was free and all students who wanted to were allowed to shop. The middle school was so impressed with the quality of donated items, and the students were extremely grateful to receive them. This year we are bringing the swap shop back and we are so excited!
In preparing for this year’s swap shop the Bowling Green Middle School and BGMS PTO is asking for your help to once again make this a successful event. As winter weather approaches and you start cleaning out your closets, if you find items that you no longer need or want please consider donating them to our swap shop. We noticed that students really enjoyed holiday shopping for other family members, so any toys, board games or knick-knacks, along with clothing, shoes, etc. is requested.
Donations will be accepted through Friday December 8th. The swap shop will be open to middle school students during the school day on December 11-14th. Please call the Bowling Green Middle School at 324-2181 with any questions, or to schedule a drop-off. Remember it may look like trash to you, but in the eyes of a middle schooler, it may be an amazing treasure! Thank you in advance for any items you may donate.
