BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — Dorothy Brown looks over a Navy uniform at Honey Shuck, the Bowling Green home of former presidential candidate and Speaker of the U.S. House Champ Clark. It’s part of a collection of more than a dozen military uniforms from World War II to the present. Clark’s son, Bennett, was a founder of the American Legion. The collection, arranged with the help of local veterans, was featured during the Champ Clark Heritage Festival Sept. 9 and will be on display again from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. The home is at 207 E. Champ Clark Drive in Bowling Green. There is no admission charge. More information is available on the Honey Shuck Facebook site or at www.champclark.org.
