MISSOURI — Weather permitting, ­­­­September 11, crews will begin work on a bridge rehabilitation project on the U.S. Route 61 bridges over Cuivre River, located one mile north of Troy. Earlier this year, Widel, Inc., of Blackwater, Missouri, was awarded the project in the amount of $816,999.

The bridge rehabilitation work will occur simultaneously on northbound and southbound bridges with all work scheduled to be completed by early November.

Signs will be in place to notify motorists of the upcoming work. All northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction in place for the duration of the project.

Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel. With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to  pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone. Be informed of your route by checking the MoDOT Traveler Information Map before you leave to see if you will encounter any work zones.
