SILEX, Mo. – The Silex Owls  got things started in the second inning when Max Lavy grounded out, scoring one run in the semi-final game of the Class 2 District 5 games on Monday.

Westran pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning when DC Dale singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Harvey was on the mound for Westran. The hurler allowed three hits and one run over seven innings, striking out five.

Josh Price led things off on the mound for Silex and went seven innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out five.

Kameron Garcia, Chase Mullen, and Price each collected one hit to lead the Owls.

Westran tallied five hits. Dale and Harvey all managed multiple hits for Westran.
