
LOUISIANA, Mo. – The Louisiana Bulldogs weathered a push by Mark Twain in the fifth inning where Bulldogs coughed up three runs, but Louisianas still won 13-3 on Monday. Mark Twain’s big inning was driven by a single by Aydan Dye, by Nolan Epperson, and an error on a ball put in play by Brayden Moss.
Bulldogs secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by singles by Sheldon Silvey, Syler Feldewerth, a walk by Gaven Crabtree, a groundout by Cameron Hunt, and an error on a ball put in play by Jack Logan.
Bulldogs scored eight runs in the fifth inning. Silvey, Hunt, Feldewerth, Logan, Crabtree, and Silvey powered the big inning with RBIs.
Kenny McCormick led the Bulldogs to victory on the hill. The righty went two innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out three. Silvey and Brady Fisher entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Conner Eckler started the game for Mark Twain. The bulldog went four innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out eight. Dye threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen.
Louisiana saw the ball well, racking up eight hits in the game. Silvey and Brady Sheppard all managed multiple hits for Bulldogs. Louisiana tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Fisher led the way with two.
Cade Carmen led Mark Twain with two hits in two at bats.
