
BOWLING GREEN, Mo. – The Clopton Hawks watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Bowling Green on Wednesday.
The Hawks struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bowling Green, giving up 10 runs.
One bright spot for Clopton was a single by Jordan Jennewein in the first inning.
Camden Fisher got the start for Bowling Green. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Tyler Jarrett was on the hill for the Hawks. The righthander allowed six hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Tyler Kuntz, Adam Matheny, and Tucker Salmons each contributed in relief for Clopton.
Jennewein led the Hawks with two hits in three at bats.
Bowling Green saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Lucas Jennings, Alex Miller, and Walker Chandler all managed multiple hits for Bowling Green. Bowling Green was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Dane Dunn had the most chances in the field with five.
