Pittsfield, Ill. — At about 11am on May 2, the City of Pittsfield water system in the affected area lost pressure due to damage caused by a directional boring crew.  The crew struck a 6-water main in the area.  As a result, the affected area had to burn shut down for the main repair, causing the affected area to fall below the 20 psi threshold.

The BOIL ORDER for County Highway 3 (Lakeview Heights) from The Pike County Highway Building North. Including Panther Creek, Lakeview Drive and Justice Drive will remain in effect until further notice. You will receive notification when the order is lifted.

Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for five minutes, and cool before using. Or use bottled water.  Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking,

making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.
