CLARKSVILLE, Mo. — Ten new members were recently inducted into Clopton’s National Honor Society during a ceremony held, Wednesday, April 13.
Students who joined, worked extremely hard for the opportunity by keeping themselves at the top of their respective class, in addition to being respectful, honest students. Joining from the sophomore class included Bailey Baker, Lauren Blackwell, Kain Eivins and Whitney Lindsay. From the junior class, John Cooke, Jamsine Hammett, Brooklyn Kaimann and Braya Smith and senior class members, Levi Lair and Emily Zumwalt.
According to National Honor Society advisor Malarie Allensworth, changes were made to the ceremony this year. Newly added, returning members received bar pins to honor their continued years of membership and show of dedication. She also added an official registry book in which all the members signed their names. The book starts a new tradition in which students will sign every year.
The ceremony concluded with a small celebration that included cake and punch.
