
O’FALLON, Mo.– The Bowling Green Bobcats travel to Car Shield Field, as they face off with the Christian Eagles.
Bowling Green is coming off a loss to the Wildcats from Montgomery County, 10-3. Christian is also coming off a loss to the Duchesne Pioneers, 7-0. The Bobcats and Eagles will face off at CarShield Field in O’Fallon, Missouri. This will be the first time that Bowling Green and Christian will play each other. CarShield Field is a very historic field, and it is a big privilege to be allowed to play on the turf of CarShield.
CarShield Field was built in 1998 and was later opened for games in 1999. The first game played at CarShield Field was between the River City Rascals and the Dubois County Dragons. The Rascals took home the win, 6-5, for their first win at the new stadium. The Rascals were the home team for CarShield up until 2019, marking 20 seasons at CarShield Field. The field is now home to the O’Fallon Hoots, a collegiate summer league team that is a member of the United States Prospect League. The Bobcats and Eagles have an opportunity to showcase their talents at this historic field tonight.
Bowling Green heads into the contest with a 4-7 record, scoring four runs per game, while they allow seven runs to their opponents. Christian heads into the game with a 3-2 record on the season, they score an average of eight runs per game, while they allow six runs per contest to the opposing team.
