LOUISIANA, Mo.– The Bowling Green Bobcats Golf team will compete in the Bulldog Golf Meet this Wednesday.
The Bobcats will be joined by other EMO conference teams, such as the Clopton Hawks, Van-Far Indians, Louisiana Bulldogs, and the Silex Owls. Bowling Green will begin the season looking for a golfer that can step in for 2022 graduate, Brayden Buffington. Some good candidates would be seniors Kaden Klocke and Josh Carroll. Carroll and Klocke were the two golfers that were backing Buffington up at the meets last season. Despite Buffington being the only golfer on the Bobcats to make it to the state tournament, Bowling Green still has plenty of players that are looking to be the athlete to make a state-run.
Carroll and Klocke may be great candidates to become the new number-one golfer on the team, but there is still plenty of talent lower in the depth chart as well. Seniors Colin Prior and Xavier Fairchild are two players that could potentially have a shot at getting that number one spot. Another potential pick for the role would be senior Dylan Dalton. This may be Dalton’s first year as a member of the golf team, but he has a knack for swinging a golf club.
Be sure to come out and support the Bobcats golf team, as they play in the Bulldog Meet today.
