PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — NECAC President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Page accepts a donation for the Rise & Shine fund-raiser Feb. 10 from Cathy Taylor at the Hardee’s in Louisiana. The event was sponsored by Heat Up St. Louis at participating restaurants in 14 Missouri and Illinois counties. Customers could donate or buy $1 sausage or egg biscuits. All proceeds will stay in the counties in which they were donated to help low-income, elderly and disabled people with heating costs. The event saw 1,157 biscuits sold and $1,369 contributed at the Bowling Green location, and 667 biscuits and $808 donated at the Louisiana restaurant.
