
LOUISIANA, Mo. — Pike County Missouri Sheriff Stephen Korte confirmed the Sheriff’s Department responded to the residence of Louisiana Police Chief Will Jones for a deceased person on Tuesday night. Additionally, an individual was discovered who was in medical distress, revived with NARCAN, and transported to the hospital. Jones and his girlfriend have been charged with numerous felonies. On 18 October 2022 at approximately 9:53pm an off-duty Louisiana Police Officer called the non-emergency line of Pike County 911 and Central Dispatch to report a death at a residence in the 2300 block of Kentucky St. in Louisiana. The residence was that of William Jones and his girlfriend Alexis J. Thone.
Responders arrived on scene and found Gabriel Thone, age 24 and brother of Alexis Thone, to be deceased. A second brother, age 21, was found to be in respiratory distress but was revived with NARCAN and transported to Pike County Memorial Hospital.
As a result of the investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, both William Jones and Alexis Thone have been charged by the Pike County Prosecutor with felonies and were taken into custody at approximately 3:30pm on 19 October 2022, on a traffic stop in Louisiana.
Charges are as follows:
William E. Jones, age 50, has been charged with felony trafficking drugs in the second degree (Class C), felony possession of a controlled substance (Class D) and felony tampering with evidence (Class E). Bond was set $150,000 cash only and he is being held in the Lincoln County Jail.
Alexis J. (AJ) Thone, age 25, has been charged with felony trafficking drugs in the second degree (Class C), felony possession of a controlled substance (Class D). Bond was set $100,000 cash only and she is being held in the Pike County Jail.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Jones was the Police Chief of Louisiana at the time of his arrest.
