LOUISIANA, Mo. — Utilizing an Elks National Foundation Spotlight Grant, the Louisiana Elks Lodge #791 has again made a $2,000.00 donation to the Friends of the Louisiana Public Library to fund the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This program provides an age appropriate book every month to children age birth to 5 years within the 63353 area code. At present, there are 64 children enrolled and the program has had 74 “graduates” (reach 5 years of age) since it was implemented here in 2019. Parents can get additional information thru the Louisiana Public Library if they have an eligible child to enroll.
