EAGLE 102 SPORTS — District cross country meets were held Saturday, Oct. 30 at Arcadia Valley High School and Linn High School for area runners. Runners who qualified for state will be competing at Gans Creek this Friday and Saturday.

In Class 3 District 3 at Linn, the Bowling Green boys finished fifth as a team, while the girls finished 13th. Individuals making the all-district teams and advance to state include, from Bowling Green, Ben Chance (third place), Elija Henningfield (21st place), Trenton Griffith (29th place) and Megan McMillen (20th place). Class 2, District 3 also at Linn saw the Mark Twain Tigers boys team qualified for state as they finished in second place and the girls finished in seventh. Individuals making the all-district teams and qualifying for state include, from Elsberry, Josiah Heras (11th place) and Dashaun Dodson (15th place); from Mark Twain, Sam Northcutt (12th place), Will Owen (18th place), Brandon Fullenwider (25th place), Cynthia Resor (18th place) and Matera Ellis (22nd place). Class 1, District 3 at Arcadia High School advanced runners from Clopton, Silex and Van-Far. The Hawks boys team finished in 10th place and the Silex Lady Owl’s team finished in sixth place. Individuals making the all-district teams and advancing to state include, from Clopton, Josh Harvey (18th place), Hunter Burt (26th place) and Lauren Denslow (22nd place); from Silex, McKenna Claborn (17th place) and Klaire Thoroughman (25th place) and from Van-Far, Madelynn Caldwell (29th place).
