LOUISIANA, Mo. — The John Cotton Memorial Animal Shelter, located in Louisiana, is an entirely volunteer run organization.
JCMAS is currently in desperate need of volunteers!
Their mission is to provide compassionate short and medium term care to lost pets and adoptable stray animals.
JCMAS is a ‘near zero’ kill shelter. As long as public donations cover daily operating expenses, euthanasia will be a last resort used only when an animal is not adoptable for reasons of public safety, or has an incredibly severe injury and is suffering. No adoptable animals have been euthanized since November 2009.
In order to continue the care that they provide, volunteers are urgently needed. Reach out on their Facebook page or call Matt @ 573-253-9881.
