BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — The first round of winter utility assistance applications is about to start in Northeast Missouri.

The program begins November 1st for the elderly and disabled. Applications will be taken from families and individuals on December 1st.

The North East Community Action Corporation has about 600 thousand dollars fewer dollars this year compared to 2019. That’s because of a change in the funding formula.

Assistance is available to utility customers who meet income guidelines and those who face a cut-off of service.
