LOUISIANA, Mo. — The Louisiana High School Alumni and Friends Association has cancelled their annual All-School Reunion events planned for October 3, 2020.

The Alumni Association’s reunion events have been held in conjunction with Louisiana’s Country Colorfest for about 10 years.  After learning last week Colorfest was being cancelled, the Alumni Association’s board members began discussing different scenarios from having it as usual with no changes to canceling it altogether.

The board had been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and, after much consideration, decided to cancel the social, dinner and dance.  Though Pike County, MO has not been affected with COVID-19 as badly as other parts of Missouri and the United States, it was understood some attendees would travel from and return to locations in multiple states.  The unanimous board vote was made to protect the well-being of our alumni, families and friends.
