KINGDOM CITY, MO – The Bowling Green Lady Bobcats have won their 11th Straight EMO Championship and their 15th in the last 16 years. The Bobcats won their 5th straight EMO Championship and their 18th title in the last 19 years. Regarding the Lady Bobcats, coach Matt Chance said, “This was a very dominating performance from the girls team. We had all 7 girls finish in the top 11 overall and the JV team also ran very well with some of their best performances of the year. This continues to be one of the best teams in the state, but they also know that we must continue improving week to week. I really like where this team sits physically, mentally, and emotionally and I believe we will see some great races from these kids over the next 3 weeks.”
Chance had similar praise for the Bobcats, “Winning the conference meet was a great accomplishment for the boys team. I’m not sure many would have picked up at the start of the season with so many young kids and new faces to the program. These kids have stuck together and continued to work hard and believe in the training program. We have put ourselves in position to have a chance at a state qualifying berth at the district meet.”
