Joe’s Jugs, long time business in Louisiana caught fire in
the early morning hours Thursday. Louisiana Fire Chief Mike Lesley said the
department received the call at 12:20 a.m. and they remained on the scene to
roughly 1:10 p.m.
Lesley said the blaze was contained to one portion of the
building and has been ruled accidental. He added that because of the alcohol
and firearms in the building the State Fire Marshall was called in along with
the ATF.
“We had 30 fire fighters and seven pieces of equipment on
the site at one point in time,” noted Lesley. “Battling the fire was the
Louisiana Fire Department, Buffalo Township Fire Department and the Pleasant
Hill Fire Department – all did an excellent job.”
Even with gas on the premises none of it caught fire. Keep
listening to EAGLE 102 for more information as it becomes available.
