On May 12, Pike County Deputies arrested two individuals for narcotic
related violations. These arrests were made as a result of an ongoing
narcotic investigation being conducted by the Pike County Sheriff’s
Office.
Jeffrey Scott Garner, 40, of Louisiana was arrested. Garner has been
charged with three narcotic related felony offenses. Garner’s charges
include, count 1, Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled
Substance, count 2, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, and count 3,
Class B Felony of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Garner’s bond was
set at $50,000 cash only. During this investigation, a marijuana grow
operation was discovered on Garner’s property. Ten marijuana plants
were seized as a result of this investigation.
Daniel Wayne Norris, 40, of Vandalia, was arrested and has been charged
with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Norris’ bond
was set at $20,000 cash only. All charges were filed by the Pike County
Prosecuting Attorney Mark Fisher. Bonds were set by the Honorable Judge
David Ash.
