The Missouri Office of Administration has begun to accept management contract bids for the closed Bowling Green License Office.
Interested citizens or groups will have until 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, to submit their bids to operate the Bowling Green License Office. The license office was closed Monday after the Missouri Department of Revenue exercised its option to cancel the contract with the former office agent.
A copy of the RFP that bidders will use to develop their bids can be view ed at https://www.moolb.mo.gov/. To review an RFP, select “Guest” on the home page, click on “Open Bids By Agency,” then scroll through the list of bids until the appropriate bid is locat ed . The Bowling Green bid number is B3Z11094. Prospective bidders can also tour the closed Bowling Green office to get an idea of how an office is set up for customer service. The office will be open only for the purpose of interested bidders inspecting the facility from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Until the Bowling Green License Office reopens, citizens living in the Bowling Green area have several other offices where they can conduct license office transactions. These nearby locations include Elsberry, Hannibal , Louisiana , New London , Troy and Vandalia. Many Pike County citizens can also renew their license plates online at www.plates.mo.gov. Pike County citizens that have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) on their license plate renewal information mailed to them from the Department of Revenue are eligible to use plates.mo.gov. Citizens who have collegiate, military or specialty organization license plates can’t use plates.mo.gov.
