Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte and Louisiana Police Chief Rich Hughes release the following information pertaining to cases investigated by the Pike County Drug Enforcement Team.
On December 19, 2010 at approximately 4:00 A.M. members of the Pike County Drug Enforcement Team, assisted by the Louisiana Police Department and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics related search warrant at 814 Georgia Street in Louisiana, Missouri. During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives located and seized a methamphetamine laboratory along with chemicals and apparatuses used to manufacture methamphetamine. Two members of the Pike County Drug Enforcement team that are certified in dismantling and transporting the methamphetamine laboratory removed the chemicals and equipment and they were transported to a hazardous waste facility in Troy, Missouri.
One arrest has been made and several others are expected as a result of this investigation. The Pike County Drug Enforcement team was assisted in this investigation by the Louisiana Police Department, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana Fire Department, and the Hannibal Police Department.
