The Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have re-opened Interstate 70 from St. Louis to Kansas City after shutting it down yesterday evening because of impassable conditions. Interstate 44 into Oklahoma remains closed at Springfield, Mo.
Roadways throughout the state remain either covered or partly covered with snow making for potentially dangerous travel conditions. I-70 remains mostly covered with hard-packed snow and motorists are urged to be very cautious if they choose to drive. MoDOT and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are still asking Missourians to limit travel as much as possible.
