The Bowling Green Rotary
Club will be hosting Lakefest at the Bowling Green Reservoir / Jack Floyd
Memorial Lake, East of Bowling Green, on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. Lakefest
includes a Barbecue, 5K run/walk, and Fishing Derby.
The Rotary Club will serve a barbecue
dinner from 5-8 p.m.
The
5K run/walk features a scenic course on trails that run along the east and west
lakes. The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. All participants will
receive a T-Shirt. Trophies will be awarded to class winners.
Gatorade will be provided at the finish. Entry fee is $20 for ages 18 and
under. $25 for ages 19 and up.
The
fishing derby will begin at 5 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the first
fish checked in, the largest fish checked in, and the most fish checked in. All fishing participants will
receive a Lakefest T-shirt and be entered in a drawing to win a Browning
Stalker Gold Baitcast Rod and Reel as well as a $40 gift card to Bass Pro
Shops. Entry fee for all ages is
$15.
