The Louisiana Economic Development Committee will be sponsoring a Job Fair on March 19th at the American Legion in Louisiana from 9am-1pm.  The event is free for all employers, job placement entities and job seekers.  Anyone interested in setting up a table to distribute information and/or take applications or resumes is asked to contact Cindy Blaylock at 573-754-2109573-754-2109.  Job seekers do not need to register, simply attend the day of the event. 

 NECAC representatives will be on hand to lend Resume Writing assistance as well.  It is recommended that anyone interested in a job or new career bring along completed resumes to distribute to those employers who attend.  Come prepared to meet the employers, dress appropriately as some employers are prepared to take applications and do initial interviews on sight.

 “This is a great opportunity for Employers, I’d encourage participation even if you have no immediate openings.  As employers we simply have no way of knowing what the future brings and having a funnel full of good resumes can be a great time saver when an opening does come up”.  Cindy Blaylock, chairman of this event and member of the LEDC also shared that the event held last year was such a success employers asked for a repeat.  “We had 24 tables set up for employers last year and I few over 180 job seekers”.
