Minor to moderate flooding is expected to continue through early next week along the Mississippi River.
A National Weather Service flood warning continued Wednesday from Canton to Grafton.
Forecasters predict the river will crest Tuesday at more than four feet above flood stage at Louisiana and Clarksville. The estimate is based upon no more rain between now and then. Just last year, the area had its fourth-worst flood on record.
The water level on the Illinois River at Valley City was climbing Wednesday, but that waterway is expected to crest two feet below flood stage early next week.
