The American Red Cross emergency appeal has been extended until August 31. The emergency appeal means we only have a five day supply of blood, which can result in hospitals postponing elective surgeries. We need your help to get donors into local blood drives. Below is a list of blood drives in your area that we hope you will promote.
Monday, Aug. 29 from 2:00 – 6:00pm at the Village of Eolia Community Building located at 105 Community Lane in Eolia.
Wednesday. Aug. 31 from 3:00 – 7:00pm at the Frankford Elementary School in the multi-purpose room.
Donors are encourage to make an appointment by going online at www.redcrossblood.org, using the American Red Cross donor app or call 800-REDCROSS. To reduce time at the blood drive donors can also complete part of the donation process before arriving at the blood drive by going to www.redcrossblood.org/RapidPass on their computer, (it cannot be completed on smart phone or tablet) and completing their reading and questions.
