The Louisiana Community Betterment Association presented their Beautification Award to the El buen Pastor Hispanic Church on Friday, May 18. The congregation took possession of the building at 3518 Georgia St. almost 2 years ago and have been in the process of upgrading and beautifying the property. They have recently completed the re-siding of the entire building and installing a new church sign. They have also added some very pretty landscaping around the signage.
“Our committee was graciously received and given a complete tour of the inside of the building. They have completed a great deal of work inside. The sanctuary is very attractive,” stated Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson. “Quite a few of their church members were on hand for the presentation and our committee was able to meet and speak with most of them. They are a wonderful part of our community and it was a pleasure to present this award to them. I look forward to visiting with them again as I see them around the community, “ stated Huckstep in the recent LCBA release.
On hand to present the award was Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson, Randall Cone, LCBA Treasurer, Maggie Neff, UEDC Director. Pastor Francisco Ulloa and his family are in the front row of the picture, along with other church members and LCBA committee members. Walter Logan, an LCBA committee member was the photographer.
