LOUISIANA – Three people in Louisiana are in custody following a drug bust at a residence last week located at 212 South 5th Street.
Members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department executed the search warrant on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Narcotics and drug paraphernalia was seized at the residence in addition to the arrests of three individuals.
Sheriff Stephen Korte noted that numerous charges were filed against the residents of the home, Thomas J. Troutner and Marina L. Troutner, and a guest at the time of the search warrant, Michael R. Simpson.
Thomas J. Troutner was charged with two class D felonies including possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. He was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D misdemeanor.
Marina L. Troutner was also charged with two class D felonies including possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree. She was further charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D misdemeanor.
Simpson was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a class D felony. He was also charged with the class E felony of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution, along with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges were filed by Pike County Prosecuting Attorney Alex Ellison and bond was set on all three individuals by Judge Milan Berry. Each has a $10,000 cash only bond.
Sheriff Korte said all three individuals remain in custody in the Pike County Jail.
Individuals charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
