LOUISIANA — Four local founding board members of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum were honored at the organization’s annual banquet on Nov. 14.
The four were part of the nine-member group that established the museum in 1992.
More than 100 guests attended the dinner on Thursday night, which included an update on museum activities, a recognition of volunteers and a presentation about the women’s suffrage efforts of the John and Mary Henderson family. The program was presented by Gregory Wolk of the Missouri Humanities Council and Missouri Civil War Heritage Foundation. The museum also conveyed board emeritus status to Cropp, Smith and the Rev. D. Randall Cone.
