The Louisiana Community Betterment Association sponsored a Gingerbread and Cookie competition on Saturday, December 14th in the Pike County Memorial Hospital Cafeteria. The competition was open to anyone who wished to compete. A panel of judges were on hand to judge the entries. Judges were Mary Dunnington, Sarah Walker, James Lucket, PCMH Dietary, Sam Gentile, PCMH Dietary and Kiffany Ardeneaux, Louisiana City Council member.
The winner of the competition was Alli Hustedde. Allie submitted a Gingerbread village complete with button candy walkways and a lighted platform She also made decorated Gingerbread cookies. All the cookies were in the poses of Karate students.
"This was such a fun Christmas activity and one that so many families enjoy as a holiday tradition. It was great being able to bring folks in our community together to show off their creations," stated Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson. "We hope to be able to do this again next year," said Huckstep
