LOUISIANA, Mo. – The World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday, March 6 this year and the community is invited to a special service at Elmwood Community Church in Louisiana.

World Day of Prayer is an ecumenical celebration of informed prayer and prayerful action. Join in the prayer service written by the women of Zimbabwe, who invite us to explore Jesus’ encounter with a person who, although positioned for healing, does not act upon the opportunities given (John 5:2–9a).

The theme is “Rise! Take Your Mat and Walk.” This service is sponsored by Elmwood Community Church

The service will take place at 10 a.m. at the chuch, located at 106 South 30th Street. A light lunch will be served.
