5-seed Western defeated 12-seed Astoria two sets to one on Tuesday in the opening round of regional action. The Lady Wildcats face 4-seed Triopia in the regional semifinal tonight in Winchester at 7 pm.

13-seed Pleasant Hill lost in straight sets to 3-seed Maryville Christian in Marissa on Tuesday.

Also in Class 1, 14-seed Griggsville-Perry fell to 3-seed Liberty Tuesday night and in Class 2, 6-seed Pittsfield lost to 3-seed Macomb.
