Grace Henry’s walk-off home run powered the Saukees to a 2-1 victory over the Camp Point Panthers!
Trailing 1-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Pittsfield’s Torie Stambaugh drew a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch, setting the stage for a clutch moment. Henry stepped up to the plate and didn’t just deliver a base hit—she launched a game-winning homer, sealing the dramatic comeback.
Both pitchers were dominant throughout the game. Emma Wombles kept the Saukees in it, striking out nine while allowing just three hits and working around four walks. Pittsfield had chances earlier in the game, getting multiple runners on base, but Emma Stephens of Camp Point managed to escape the jams—until the seventh, when Henry made sure the Saukees came out on top.
