LOUISIANA, Mo. — The Community of Faith Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held Nov. 28.
Advance reservations are required. The free meal is open to anyone who wants to enjoy a traditional holiday feast.
In the past, it has been served for residents of Louisiana and Clarksville. This year, Bowling Green will also be included in the delivery area.
There will be a limited number of meals prepared. As the coverage is expanded, it is very important to make your reservations as soon as possible. The absolute deadline is Thursday, Nov. 21.
As in previous years, home deliveries can be made, but reservations for that service are also required by Nov. 21.
Contact Centenary United Methodist Church for reservations and questions by calling 573-754-4412. You may also email cumclamo@gmail.com or visit the website at cumclamo.org. Reservations will not be accepted after Nov. 21. An answering machine is available for after-hours calls.
Delivery times will fall between 10 a.m. and noon on Nov. 28. Curbside pickup service will be available at Centenary at Seventh and South Carolina between 11 a.m. and noon that day. Reservations are also required by Thursday, Nov. 21, for this service.
Local churches and organizations sponsor the annual event, which is in its 29th year.
Volunteers are still needed for preparation and delivery. For more information, call Vicky Keely at 573-754-0149 or Mark Haddock at 314-221-5458.
